Photo shoot in the studio

Don't get all excited. In the recording studio. No models were used.

I did a session on Monday photographing my step son's recording studio for promo and web. I was fighting daylight and reflections but I think we got away with it. I took two radio triggered flashes but their contribution was minor compared to the sunlight.

There are so many neat tricks I could play - take the shots at dusk and include the rural views through the windows, and a similar thing from outside perhaps.

It's all about selling the idea of a friendly recording space. "If I rented that studio and laid down some tracks - I could be famous" etc etc

It would look great with people included in there.

Re: Photo shoot in the studio

Alas, we didn't have any "talent" on Monday.

Maybe I could photoshop Ed Sheeran at the mic. That would bring the punters in.

Or maybe not. I'm not good on popular culture these days.

Re: Photo shoot in the studio

You might want to tone down the carpet a bit. It makes it look like someone's lounge rather than a professional recording studio.

Re: Photo shoot in the studio

I love that room, it would make a great man cave.

Re: Photo shoot in the studio

I personally like it without people, that way we concentrate on the studio, equipment and layout as intended.
