Aquadeuch

Aquadeuch is a group of enthusiasts who race the venerable 2CV motor car, but on water. The flat twin 400cc air cooled 2CV engines are modified to water cooling and they are also modified to turbocharging. The 2CV's are boats of course, but built to look at least in profile , like a 2CV car.
A race meeting was held at Couthures sur Garonne in my local patch of Aquitaine in SW France.
Enough of the blather, here are some pictures. All with the M1/1 and either Oly 75-300/2 or the Tamron 14-150mm.
Bigger and more an be seen on my flickr here

Re: Aquadeuch

Very interesting and very French. I had no idea they existed. Must they be able to carry a basket of eggs without any getting broken? Thanks for sharing.

Re: Aquadeuch

What a fun sport! And very dramatic too. The 2CV obviously performs better on water than it ever did on land!

Re: Aquadeuch

Thanks for posting this, nice photos.

When the French do 'odd', they excel. Wonder how many brocantes it took to get the bits

Re: Aquadeuch

That is interesting & fascinating. Certainly different to racing bath tubs.
