Padley Gorge yesterday

Went to Padley yesterday and the conditions were pretty much perfect. Very busy with several camera clubs on outings. Here's a sample.

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

Thanks guys but I think it's Mother Nature who deserves the real praise.
John Craven is doing Country File Autumn Diaries from this area today. Definitely worth a watch. There's also an article on Westonbirt too.

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

Nice work Phil, I’m planning to visit Padley for the autumn colours myself. Although the peaks throw up too many options this time of the year - in the last two weekends I’ve done the Big Moor stags and was lucky enough to be above Winnats Pass for the most fantastic cloud inversion on Saturday morning. The whole area is fantastic

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

A rustic bridge, a babbling brook, and yonder Hobbits beneath the fall!
A delightful set of autumn pictures, Phill.

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

Thanks, don't delay too much Chris it's getting windy and the leaves wont stay around on the trees at Padley for long.

Saturday was the day we went to Padley and I did think about going to Winnats on the way when I saw it was going to be a misty morning but unfortunately I didn't get up in time to do that as well Hopefully there will be other days soon as you say it's a spectacular area. Looking forward to seeing your cloud inversion shots.

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

Nice set Phil. Love that millstone. Assume there must have been a mill somewhere near in ye olde days....

Lets hope Westonbirt matches the Autumnal colours. Beginning to wonder if we have left it a bit late...(Global Warming and all that..)

Re: Padley Gorge yesterday

Thanks Ron and Mark. It's pretty windy here today so I think the leaves will be leaving the trees pretty soon.
Hopefully the weather down south will be calmer and we will get some sun on Friday. Westonbirt looked pretty good this morning on Country File Autumn Watch. Worth a look on iplayer. Looking forward to it.
