Re: New E3 firmware announced

The upgrade went smoothly. I feel the 14-35 f/2 focuses a bit more decisively in challenging light, though it still gets foxed by very high contrast targets.

The AF point selection control is much better than it used to be.

I kind of hoped the AF point adjustment options of the E-30 would be added, but sadly not.

Not yet had a chance to test the battery and continuous AF/shooting performance enhancements.

Unhappy Re: New E3 firmware announced

Updated no problem except we seem to have gone back a step in that all settings have been returned to factory defaults.I thought this had been sorted after the last firmware upgrade. Oh well I will just have to spend the rest of the night trying to remember all my settings, which at my age will be some feat.

Re: New E3 firmware announced

The documentation did say that the camera would be reset. I think that resets occur when new features are added into the firmware.

This time I set up a spreadsheet of all the menu items and noted all the settings so that I could reset the camera easily - nothing like not working to have the time ...... smart a*** did I hear you say.<g>
