Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7....Reviews ?

Reviews of this lens seem a bit short in coming, wondering how it compares to the much more expensive Oly 25 f1.8.

Re: Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7....Reviews ?

Unusually, Panasonic seem to have rushed this lens onto general release before the usual reviewers have had a chance to evaluate it. With Panasonic's reputation for high quality lenses I can't imagine that a standard prime like this would be anything other than excellent but if you are unsure maybe wait a few weeks until (hopefully) the reviews start to come through.

Re: Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7....Reviews ?

I'm very interested in this lens. I'm itching for a 25mm lens but even with the recently announced 50 cashback on the Olympus 25mm F1.8 it's still north of 200 and not much less used.
This new Panasonic is available to preorder at 159 at Wex but there are no reviews or firm shipping dates that I've seen, just announcements using the same press release.
I'm going to keep my money in my pocket until there are some reviews out there, but I'm hoping for something good as a 50mm FF equivalent.

It's weird. I'm the classic "difficult to buy for" dad so this was my Christmas list, but not if they don't ship it and no one reviews it?!? At this rate it'll be socks
I wonder if there's a manufacturing problem that's delaying it. If have expected some preproduction reviews by now?

Better than getting a lens that turns out to be pants!

Weirder and weirder - the lens is now showing as "in stock" at WEX but I still haven't seen a single review?!?
