Sydney from my hotel bedroom window

Arrived late and tired into Sydney last night. Here's a quick shot of the iconic harbour from the hotel window.

Re: Sydney from my hotel bedroom window

Awe really envious Paul. It's over 5 years since I was fortunate to get a business trip to Oz and I really enjoyed it. From that view it looks like your hotel wasn't far from the one I stayed at in the Rocks area. Looking forward to some great images even if you have to work too Just don't come back with the present I did - I caught swine flu to bring home

Re: Sydney from my hotel bedroom window

I have heard it mentioned that they speak English in OZ, but not as we know it? Ross's post seems to bear this out.

For a first snap, the scenery should make up for this shortfall.

Enjoy the trip.

Do not forget to reset the calendar and clock on your camera - unless you already have done in which case it is very dark for 15:12

Yes it is a nice spot for that photo & a nice shot from Paul, but it is a shame those buildings went up beside the quay blocking the view to the Opera House. There were some controversial discussions on them when they appeared.

I guess Paul is having dinner with the boys (&/or girls ) at the moment (I've just cooked ours, pork chops & veggies ).

I hope it's nice & you don't have to wait too long to get it.

Re: Sydney from my hotel bedroom window

That's a pretty decent unobstructed view you have there. I once stayed at the Intercontinental, nearby, and other tall buildings, nearby, partially obstructed the view.

Whoopee Doo! Paul ... sensational shot. You sure picked the right hotel. I'd have replied sooner except for having spent the past week in "Brissy" (Brisbane) but more of that later. I'm sure you'll have a ball in spite of the NSW weather that Ross has to endure! Looking forward to more of your takes.

Being heavily overcast (normal for NSW) Paul chose a good time for a SOH shot - Sydney always looks better by night as any 'Coat-hanger' knows!

You'll find fair weather down South that WE 'Mexicans enjoy!
