Skeletal remains

Not many Cape Gooseberries in my garden escape my attention and become like this:



It occurred to me that these cases, especially when the flesh of the berry has dissolved, are rather picturesque. I should leave a few more to over-ripen instead of eating them all



It's a bit late in the season for them to ripen much now
