Olympus compact gets rough treatment at Photokina

Slightly off topic, but over at our other site, DPNow.com, I've published a video clip of an Olympus compact being destruction tested...

OK, I produced it, but I think it's a fun clip see:

1030SW - Fantastic fun camera.

I got one as soon as they were released and it goes everywhere with me.

It went on a works curry-night the other week and was subjected to all sorts of abuse including being in a pint of Cobra beer taking pictures on self timer to see if we could give a camera 'beer-goggles'

Got it home and rinsed it in the sink before fighting with myself trying to get my socks off while my wife giggled herself silly! (cant remember that bit - too much beer was consumed).

My 725 SW got soaked in seawater, so when I went for a cuppa in the cliff top cafe, I took it into the toilet and was washing it under the tap, when another chap came in, saw what I was doing and gave me a VERY strange look.

When I said "it's ok it's waterproof" he replied "That aint wot I was wurid abowt"
