Rare 4/3 extension tubes

I acquired some rare 4/3 mount extension tubes from Bear (more active on FTU). I had a play with them at the weekend.

They don't work with the 'fly-by-wire' lenses such as the kit lenses (14-42mm and 40-150mm), but do work with my 12-60mm albeit only at the maximum focal length (as indeed would be the case with the EX-25).

However, I still can't set the aperture as they are simply extension tubes with no electrical connections so I'm restricted to f4 which of course gives very little depth of field. Also the focussing distance with the +1 and +2 tubes is probably less than an inch (the lens won't focus with the +3 tube).

So a fairly limited combination for macro but nonetheless I did get some pleasing first attempts.

Number 2

Thanks for looking

Re: Rare 4/3 extension tubes

I have the Ex-25, and these are every bit as good as that.

Re: Rare 4/3 extension tubes

Thanks for the comments.

The (significant) advantage the EX-25 would have is that I could at least then set the aperture to something less wide to give me a bit more control over depth of field.
