Noise of EM1 vs EM5-II?

Hi,

I'm contemplating coming back to Olympus and buying an EM1 but was wondering what the noise is like compared to the EM5-II that I've had previously. With the EM5-II I was 'happy' to shoot up ti 3200 ISO in extreme situations, but would the EM1 be useable at 3200 and how does it compare to the EM5-II at higher ISO?

Cheers.

I've owned both. Noise at normal exposures is pretty much the same, irrespective of ISO. Long exposure noise (>30s) is worse on the E-M1.

Thanks for the info, I'm not planning on doing long exposure with it so that's not an issue for me

Re: Noise of EM1 vs EM5-II?

I agree with Paul. Personally I don't run either camera above ISO2000 unless there's no other choice because I find the noise a bit intrusive up there, but I know a lot of people are happy up to 3200.
