Field of Bales, Angus

Headed out for 30 mins and managed to drag my youngest along with me.Once we were there she was happy climbing on the bales and running about the field whilst I snapped a few shots. She even wanted to pose for a couple which is unusual.

Comments welcomed.

A great setting and a willing model perfect. Lovely subtle tones in those.

A good model is very welcome and can enhance even the best of images. The last picture just emanates joy.

Re: Field of Bales, Angus

No 2 benefits from the lovely colours in the clouds but my favourite is the last one, with your daughter being the perfect model.

Re: Field of Bales, Angus

Wonderful lighting and cloud effects, not to mention your daughter, the model who adds such vitality to your pictures.

You do very well with the E-30 and E-520.

Re: Field of Bales, Angus

Lovely photos, especially the last with your daughter posing for you. Those bails have been a very welcome sight for some of our NSW farmers when they were delivered. The drought has made it rather tough for them here.

An excellent set. A nice smile. (It could have been a baleful look ).

Re: Field of Bales, Angus

Like the photos!

Your daughter has rather a 'Scots Look', though it might be my imagination!

I've also got a gut feeling that they were taken not far from Forfar (where I have relations that I've lost contact with. My father's side of the family come from Carnoustie).

It certainly is. In between forfar and Kirriemuir.

I was in a bar in Kirriemuir with my cousin many years ago and he was having a conversation with a local. I could not understand a word of what the local was saying, though I was used to my father's Carnoustie accent!

Do the school children still get time off for the 'Tatties' and 'Berries'?
