I'm just going to bump this - please don't forget that if you're going to make an Amazon purchase of any kind, following one of our links will benefit the site

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

I ought to mention that although I can see what is purchased through our Amazon links, I can't see who the buyer is. Sometimes the purchases are - interesting!

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

If you are doing any weekend shopping on Amazon - don't forget to explore our links below:

If you aren't already a member of Amazon Prime, you can try their 30-day free trial. This provides access to Prime Video (a very good alternative to Netflix), Prime Music and other goodies, including free next day delivery on selected products.

You can join via this link:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/of...gitalphotog-21

If you find it isn't for you, just cancel at the end of the trial period. Students get a discount. The whole family can use one account. You can get orders delivered to almost anywhere in the UK, not just to your home.

Olympus Cameras and accessories

Olympus m.Zuiko Lenses
Flash

Four Thirds

Panasonic Lumix lenses

Please don't hesitate to let me know if there are any errors or out of date links, thanks!

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

We had an initial flurry of activity and earned almost 10 but it's gone quiet again.

It's easy to forget - so once again, remember if you are buying anything on Amazon, at the very least follow one of our links to generate a commission to help fund this site.

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

I don't think there is any particular limit - as long as that product remains on the Amazon catalogue it should work

I'll PM links to you.

Thanks!

Get in touch even if your planned Amazon purchase is not Olympus or even photography-related.
I've just made a very modest non photography related Amazon purchase (cheap reading glasses). I followed one of the links you gave to a photography item and then on that page went into my basket and checked out an item I had already put in my basket.

Does this procedure generate even a small amount for the E-Group? If so is it possible to edit the first post to indicate this rather than reading all the posts in the thread to find out that it may do so?

Is it also possible to add a link to this thread on the home page under the "donate" button stuff with the heading "Commission from Amazon Purchases" or some such to make it easy to find until such time as you are able to set up a more permanent solution?

Thanks.

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

Nothing is showing, though that may be a natural delay in the system. However, I don't think something previously placed in your basket would be likely to generate a commission. If you navigate one of our links and then buy something in that session not linked to, then I do believe we receive reduced rate commission.

I'm working on a revision to the donation appeal box on the home page.

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

I thought I'd bring the spotlight back onto Amazon and its use in generating funds for the site, especially as the donations, have - quite normally - subsided.

We haven't had any Amazon purchase commissions in over a week. I can't stress enough that you don't need to be purchasing camera gear from Amazon to generate commissions.

Follow any of the links at the beginning of this thread and in that browsing session if you order anything, there is a very good chance you will generate a commission.

The key point is that you need to go via one of our links to get to the product you are purchasing for the commission to work

Ian

Re: Are you purchasing anything through Amazon?

As you are something of a coffee aficionado, do you have a link to such things as:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also looking at getting a cheap wireless mouse (Logitech or Microsoft)

Would this earn a commission ?

Of course, Graham I'm a grind-your-own coffee beans type, myself - but I can get a link for the pods.

Do you need a mouse recommendation? I have purchased a couple recently.
