Flash Diffuser

When I used Nikon, with their SB600 flashgun, I found that a Sto-fen flash diffuser was a very useful accessory.
I've just found an ultra-light, ultra-cheap solution, when using the flashgun bundled with the E-M1 Mk.ii, in the form of one of those write-on, re-sealable poly bags.

A small size bag grips the head of the flashgun tightly, while the write-on panel provides diffusion. It works very well for close-up photos of flowers and the like:

Re: Flash Diffuser

I have a huge range of those things around at work, from A4 & bigger down to around 1" across.
I'll have to experiment & find which sizes best fit my different flashes.

Re: Flash Diffuser

I use those coloured wrist bands to secure all sorts of things to flashguns.

Re: Flash Diffuser

Lots of white, plastic foamy packing materials are good diffusers. My main gun has a Stofen diffuser with a layer of translucent plastic wrapping jammed inside, like double glazing. My second and third guns each have a double layer of flexible, fine diffuser Sellotaped across their fronts.
