E-1 plus lenses

After dithering about for a bit, I decided that my much-loved E-1 HAS to go. So, :

Olympus E-1 Body Boxed, with about 7550 actuations, this is in as good a condition as you could hope for. The rubber grip is sound, all covers and plugs are present, most of the cables etc are still in their plastic bags, all CDs and instructions are included. Asking 155 plus 15 postage (UK RMSD).

Zuiko 14-54mm Mk II lens Boxed, again in mint condition with all caps. Asking 320 plus 8 postage (UK RMSD)

Zuiko 11-22mm lens Boxed, optically and cosmetically sound. The drawback is that the zoom mechanism is not as smooth feeling or sounding as it could/should be, although it works perfectly. Asking 270 plus 8 postage (UK RMSD)

Zuiko 40-150mm Mk1 lens Boxed, but not the correct box (!). In mint condition with all caps. Asking 70 plus 8 postage (UK RMSD)

Willing to do a deal for the complete collection. Anyone who has bought from me in the past knows I look after my kit and describe it fairly.

A sad day indeed. Is that all of your e-series gone now once these are sold or do you have something in mind to move to? Just interested in what makes a man part with his E-1!

Re: E-1 plus lenses

My "main" camera is already the GH2. I intend to keep that, but may well look at the E-PL3 as a second body. For me, m4/3 is my current direction. After all, the Doc told me to lose weight.

I'd advise anyone to grab the E-1 at this price. It's just a lovely thing to have!

I sold my E-620 when I bought the very lightweight XZ-1 and both that and the E-1 give superior JPEG colour rendition than the E-5**/E6** and E3 even.

I am still drawn to the E-PL1 for its bigger sensor and a 'mid size' walkabout.
What's the main advantage of the E-PL3 over the E-PL1? Oh...hang on, I'm going to get told off now for rabbiting on in a sales thread! Sorry!!

Far better handling, far better build quality, water and dust sealed, sensor gives better colours (many say), useful for knocking nails in, better street cred. Need I go on?

I sold my E-1, 14-54 and 50-200 after getting an E-410 with the 2 kit lenses.

I never really got on with the E-1 and didn't rate my samples of the 14-54 or 50-200 so have never missed any of them.

Any (sensible) offers, anyone? I really don't want to go to Fleabay.

I bought, in order, E-510, E-1, E-3, E-600, E-620.

And the one I've kept..... E-1!

Wish I didn't have it so i could buy yours Stephen!

Re: E-1 plus lenses

I'd keep it, but I hate having unused kit knocking about.

Question Re: E-1 plus lenses

Sorry to sound repetitive but is the E1 better than my E400 in all aspects, it only gets used for Golf and Gymnastics mainly, ???

Re: E-1 plus lenses

It's a lower pixel count, but I can still print easily up to A3 from the E-1. Useful for golf because it's so quiet, and waterproof. I would say it's more of a "real" camera, but that's not to knock the E-400, which is also a good camera. It's a lot heavier, but that makes it more stable.

Maybe a minor thing, but I have large hands and the E-1 fits like a glove. The E-620 I had is slightly larger than the E-400 I think, but I could never get comfortable with it, even (especially!) with the battery grip. As an example, when I used the 70-300 lens (briefly) at full length on the E-1 I had no shake problems as I could hold it so steady.

If you're happy with the 400 I'd say keep it.
