Or other like it on eBay, plenty to choose from. You can set the aperture on the lens and just let the body take care of the metering.

Re: Old Gear

I got so depressed seeing low valuations of my old film kit when similar stuff was online I decided to find something to do with it that gave me personal if not financial satisfaction

I found a place that still taught photography using traditional film methods to kids with difficulties https://www.shapwickschool.com/ and gifted the lot (minus 1 camera and 2 lenses just in case) to their art department

OK my wallet was no heavier, but by satisfaction level when I think about it was much higher. Just something to think about if you can afford to take the loss. there maybe somewhere similar near you

Regards
Andy

Re: Old Gear

Just for fun I got out my old OM-1 with 50mm/1.4 at the weekend, loaded with Rollei Retro 100 (aka the old Agfa APX100). It was quite refreshing looking through the huge and uncluttered viewfinder and having so few controls to worry about. I haven't finished the film yet, we'll see whether it was worth the effort in a week or two - if I can remember how to develop a film .

Thank you. I am happy to donate the Minolta cameras and it's lenses. I will see how I get on with the converter for the Nikon gear before deciding. I am not short of doing good works, as I sometimes help out as a 'hands on' volunteer for a charity supporting the doctors and nurses at a clinic for adults and children who suffer from mental illness and epilepsy in Nairobi. I shall be returning end of September.

Hopefully an enjoyable trip for you, as you revisit memory lane and the old ways

Its like riding a bike. You never forget how to develop a film, but the derriere may forget how uncomfortable the bike was.

Re: Old Gear

I sold my bike, and that was one of the reasons .

I'm sure I'll remember how to do it, but my throat may have forgotten about the fixer fumes. Maybe I'll mix the stuff outside!
