Rose and Bonus

When out in the garden photographing roses, I didn't notice this fellow until I downloaded the photo.
I think it is a St Andrews Cross spider.
The rose is 'Lets Celebrate' - a special release to celebrate the Rose Society of South Australia's centenary.

Re: Rose and Bonus

I will never understand how you manage to cultivate such lovely unblemished roses, or indeed why you call it a "fellow" ... I thought all roses were ladies?

Mine are a miserable looking lot.

Edit: I just noticed the spider which explains the gender thing ... I am so unobservant when it comes to detail.

Re: Rose and Bonus

Not all the roses in my garden are unblemished - I can assure you!

Spiders are definitely not my favourite thing, but who could resist this one with such a wonderful name!

Danny - This is about as big as I get close to - I think these are quite harmless - unlike our Australian Redbacks - much, much smaller but to be avoided at all costs!!
