Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

Can you see the difference? Both 100% and both have been treated the same but one is "enhanced".

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

If there is a difference, it looks very marginal to me and I wouldn't like to choose which one was "better". I had a little play with it on files from various cameras and didn't notice any worthwhile improvements.

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

I've tried it on a number of images - 16 and 20 Mp m43 imagess and also from a few other cameras like the Fuji xe1 and Sony A7rii and have failed to see any difference at all.

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

The one on the right has, to my eyes, marginally more contrast and a little bit more sharpening. This could easily be achieved manually, if you desired it, in any competent editor and nothing to lose sleep over.

The one one the left is the "AI enhanced" version.
They both had exactly the same treatment except for that.

I perhaps needed the Bugatti module installed for the extra?

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

I wasted about 5 mins of CPU time deciding that this "feature" is about as useful as CAF tracking on my E-M1ii!

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

I’ve tried this feature on my E-M1 II raw files, all it produces is a pure black image.

I’m using the latest Lightroom Classic CC, any suggestions as to why it doesn’t work?

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

I just tried it out on a grainy high ISO photo, and still couldn't tell the difference!

I attempted to improve it manually and got a slightly better image.

Won't worry about using it again.... well, until next time!

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

Glad it's not just me that can't see any difference.
Adobe is making a big deal of this new feature very disappointing.

Re: Photoshop Ai enhanced RAW

I come late to the table on this but for the little it's worth, the strap texture on the left looks slightly sharper … but then maybe not, taking a second look … … if there's a difference it's eye boggling stuff.

Edit: Examining the end of the left strap through a magnifying glass, the stitching may be marginally sharper.
