It's just a serial number! It's fine & not anything to be concerned with. It also pays to register your camera. At least then there is a record (of sorts) in case of an unfortunate theft etc.

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

I've used the Clarity & Dehaze in the photos in this thread (taken from the 4th floor balcony of Olympus in Sydney).

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

There is one little issue when making a portrait crop of a selected format (4:3 or 3:2 etc) from a horizontal image as the crop will jump back to horizontal orientation.
I've sent this description to Olympus Support, Australia.

Quote:
When using Olympus Workspace in cropping mode, using a selected size (4:3 or 3:2 etc), not original & cropping portrait from a landscape image, the crop reverts to landscape orientation when trying to change the size from clicking on the corner.

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

Been using the workspace since introduction, generally pleased with it except for the exposure compensation slider which just kills my pics iq wise, wondered if anybody else has found this problem, should I reload the system?

You may need to uncheck the GPU selection in Options.

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

downloaded the software, have already registered the camera and lens, will have to open a saved orf or jpg export and search for my serial number in wordpad as suspect notepad will find the text too much to deal with.

hoping not to find it, but will let people know.

tried the win 10 codec, but that failed and also using faststone image viewer

edit, the image above me failed to load, but checked it and it recognised the titan x with a nice 12 GB ram

the program cache is already 56 mb with only a few uses, but might get dumped onto the data drive instead of the ssd

Will use the camera more now that vision is better (eye lid surgery)

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

Still can't use the Panorama function. EM1.2 don't have SCN Panorama assist.

To use an E-M1 Mk II the user is expected to be an advanced amateur or professional, therefore Scene Mode should not be necessary.

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

never come across that before, something also that have not come across is the auto mode where colour saturation and other modes that seem suitable for a beginner to use are present.

the art modes seem quaint, but could tweak them with filter if I wanted to

got scene modes on the lumix and some where quite useful

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

It's painfully slow. I find that it's slower than the viewer that it replaces. And somehow that GPU on my desktop is not supported.

Re: Olympus Workspace - Replacement for OV3

Having just downloaded the new workspace....Firefox comes up with a caution that its not secure. I'm sure I read on the forum about this somewhere but I can't seem to find it any ideas........ should I allow it by adding an exception which is the next step...

Odd, it's just downloaded quite happily here via Firefox 65, Windows 10; the site uses https secure transfer. Try this link
