Art for arts sake

A few paintings from Vienna... I was really surprised there were no restrictions on photographing these! Went to the horses - no photography!

This is a panorama of Klimt's Beethoven frieze, which took a little processing to get straight, but the result is surprisingly good, full photo is 14,285 pixels wide! I wonder how big I can print it!
In hindsight I should have done all three walls to make a mega panorama...

Very nice. Seriously though - no photography at the horses?

Re: Art for arts sake

but the Horses are rather special and they perhaps rather sensitive to flash which on some cameras occurs automatically - so the best rule is no photography

For art works I try and include the label and use it as a way of balancing the light to day llight aprox.

They were quite honest about it... the performance is copyright and photography is banned, nothing to do with the horses welfare or anything else!

Supposing they need a photo finish?
