That looks sooooo much better than numerous NT properties that promote their Snowdrops as a reason to visit, and if you do, discover it's a huge dissapointment.

I intend going there either Wednesday or Thursday this week, as it's only 55 mins away.

According to the sites home page you will need waterproof boots or wellies due to the recent weather if you want to walk all the way around.

Re: Show Your Snowdrop Pictures

Went to Welford Park yesterday as the forecast was for cloudy/sunny skies, but turned out to be yet another wrong forecast and bright, blue skies.

Another mistake was watching YouTube vids and picking up on other visitors filming Kingfishers, so instead of just taking my Pen F + pancake zoom, I lugged around my 300mm f4 + 1.4TC + EM1 mk2 but didn't see any.

The paths are now OK, but watch your step if you venture into the swampy area!

Glad I went, as it was very uplifting to see such vast swathes of flowers in warm sunshine at this time of year. Looking forward to the Bluebells ….

Went to Welford Park on the 14th.

Many thanks for the tip-off, I'd never heard of it and my partner was delighted!

Here's mine, taken quite a few years ago!

Love the soft concept of it, John.

I didn't see any signs of bluebell leaves at Welford Park, and have never seen them together with snowdrops. I wonder if they're mutually exclusive (though they seem to share the same soil types)?

Re: Show Your Snowdrop Pictures

We have both snowdrops and bluebells in our garden so I don't think they are mutually exclusive. They certainly seem to like the same habitat. The bluebell leaves are coming up nicely and should start to flower in about a month I guess.

Re: Show Your Snowdrop Pictures

Who'd ever have thought that snowdrops could be so bloody difficult to photograph?

Not at all what I was aiming for but I quite like the way it looks a bit like a painting.
