Had to drive.

Yes we are flooded on the nature reserve. The Roding broke its banks yesterday.
Normally I walk 500 yard to get here, today I had to drive 2 miles to the other side of the river.

Just a few in todays nice sunshine.

Flooded

Alder fly

Apple or Pear blossom,anyone know?

Green-veined White

Red Campion

Little Egret,it normally spends its time by the river but today it was on the flooded fields

Spent about 30 mins chasing a couple of Brimstone butterflies but with no luck.

Re: Had to drive.

The flood is obviously a bit of an inconvenience to you but it has created opportuniyies for different photos than normal. Just realized this was posted two weeks ago, must have missed it first time around.

Re: Had to drive.

Yes, I don't know how I missed this thread, some really nice images. Flooded fields seem to be the norm round here now, even the sandy soil of the turf meadows is getting waterlogged.

Regards

David
