Hello from East Sussex

Thank you for adding me to the group, my grandfather first introducted me to Olympus optics with his electric microscope since that time Olympus has always been my first choice because of the quality of their engineering and use of zuiko optics.
I bought my first SLR an OM30 from Dixons in 1985 and used it for many years.

I confess to being a late convert to digital photography and a little stubborn to move away from the SLR format, I use my E600 for wildlife and landscape photography but still use the old OM30 on occassion. I have yet to discover the world of micro four thirds but maybe in a few years when it has been superceeded I'll give it a go.

Re: Hello from East Sussex

Welcome. Nothing to fear in micro for thirds. Buy on old EM5 and give it a try. They can be found at very reasonable prices.

Re: Hello from East Sussex

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear you are still using an E-600, it may be getting old (by digital standards) but it is still a very capable camera. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Re: Hello from East Sussex

A warm welcome (from an OM40 & OM4Ti user). I found the E-M5 (Mark 1) was a great move into digital from the OM system; I used just the 12-50 kit lens and the 75-300mm for a couple of years only buying more expensive lenses when the F/2.8 zooms came out.
