Problems with E 400

Recently my e400 has started to over and over expose exery so often but will usualy take a correct photo on the 3rd attenpt.

also I have noticed that it gets quite warm recently, what could be wrong?

Is it with one specific lens or on more than one lens. If it's only one it could well be sticky aperture blades on the lens and not the camera.

Do you have AE bracketing turned on?

Perhaps something wrong with the battery? When the camera gets warm, remove the battery and check if it's hot. Problem with battery may also be the cause of the overexposed images, because not proper power supply may affect the shutter. Try to change battery (if you have another) and make some photos.
