World Trade Centre - Station

The feel inside this place is amazing. They have done a superb job of rebuilding.

Re: World Trade Centre - Station

Its wonderful to see it as the designer intended; unlike our own major terminii that have been filled in and floors added to create a "shopping experience" but have instead created a mess rather than a visual experience as they were intended.

Re: World Trade Centre - Station

The shops are there (it is America after all) but they are all around the sides and don't spoil the feeling of the place.

Really appreciate the photo Dave. A great Cathedral to Rail which the Yanks do very well. eg Grand Central. I think we have similar stuff, albeit rather older. But have any of you seen the transformation to London Bridge Station in London? Whoa.

Re: World Trade Centre - Station

Next time I am there and not being rushed for a connection I will take some. Assume you remember what a rat-run it was.? Actually it's one of those places that make you think that some of the Infrastructure investment made in the UK is excellent.
