Wi-Fi to MacBook.....?

Stupid question but Wi-Fi is only possible to an iPhone not MacBook I assume.

PITA if that's so.

Re: Wi-Fi to MacBook.....?

The wifi is only to the app. So I think you could use it to an iPad.

Re: Wi-Fi to MacBook.....?

There was a thread a while ago where the iPhone app had been copied for the MacBook...

Re: Wi-Fi to MacBook.....?

That's disgusting for a flagship, expensive, supposedly professional camera.

Re: Wi-Fi to MacBook.....?

I don't think that is fair. In an environment like a studio where a pro will be using a PC or a Mac the correct solution is Olympus Capture. See these links.

http://app.olympus-imaging.com/olymp.../features.html

You want high speed communications so you get the image files moved quickly and you get lots of features.

WiFi can't do a good job because it is too slow, but it can allow basic remote control and viewing the jpg files at a reasonable speed. So that is what the app does, working on Android and on iOS.

Seems to me that Olympus has designed this correctly, with the two different systems for the two different requirements.

Thank you, I understand it more clearly now.
