Send AF box back to the centre...!

A had assigned a button to reset the AF box back to it's HP, the centre.

No need, just discovered after all these years it can be done simply by pressing and holding the OK button.

Never ever seen this mentioned before.

Dahhhhh

Yes, I only realised this a few months ago, so you’re not alone

I suspect the Japanese Software / Firmware writers are scratching their heads, as though in disbelief. One says to the other, "go get me the EM1 MK 2 quickly, I need to verify this claim being made from deepest Wales". (Translated to English of course.)

Re: Send AF box back to the centre...!

Never get bored with my cameras, they're so full of surprises. Made the 'OK button' discovery quite a while ago but was sworn to secrecy... sorry about that Dave !

Really does make you wonder if they're deliberate functions or Ricoh's got it spot on.

Just tried it - it doesn't on mine Must depend on some other setting that I've made.

Which one? If you're referring to Charles, the Prince of Wales, it's SW1A 1BA.

The soft-firm-ware sounds like snakes and ladders, as far as the user is concerned.

Whales (spell check error etc)- yummy meat to eat - lets go and hunt them down, before long the Oly whale ships will be mustering off Swansea beach.

Do get the occasional whale there, and occasional porpoise, but don't stay up to watch...………..
