Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II The second Micro Four Thirds camera that offers phase detect focusing so you can use Four Thirds DSLR lenses normally as well a Micro Four Thirds lenses.

I think the leaning building emphasise the speed of the bird. Do you know Lartigue's photo of the racing car? the rolling shutter effect from his early focal plane shutter made the picture

When I was on a nature reserve in New Zealand, I could see the guide was puzzled, so I explained that I was using a silent shutter. He could not understand why I seemed not to be taking any photos

Yes same happened to me at Slimbridge. Was told to take a couple of photos by friend. Said I was on my 30th shot of Avocets...............

If you’re on your own in a hide using Oly or Panasonic gear set on silent you have to make a noise to attract the attention of a passing bird to get the classic ‘glance’ shot.

Of course, if the hide’s full of Canikon users you don’t need to bother - their death rattle does the job nicely...
