Thanks for that info. I've not tried them that way. I see some cardboard DiY mounts being made.

These are Vickers lenses "Made in England"

That is a simplistic view of them whether they are infinity or finite objectives
Infinity objectives are mounted on a lens of between 100 and 300 mm focused at infinity.
Finite objectives are mounted on tubes.

What working distance they have as something at 1.5mm will be very difficult to use

Much of the info I need to know is not on these objectives.

I know. Anyway, I gave it only as my understanding, not in anyway authoritative.

My Photar lenses are, in effect, microscope lenses in all but name and they work on tubes (not tube lenses), as do various other non-camera lenses I use for macro.
