Midnight Express

No biggie, just a show 'n tell pic from yesterday night.
I drove down to my son's place on Sunday afternoon.
It's a 250km drive each way.I was returning home
late when I had to stop at a level crossing as the
midnight express to Melbourne sped by. Trains
are so romantic, dramatic and beautiful, I just
had to pop off a shot with the phone camera.

Re: Midnight Express

Indeed they are. It is a shame that modern trains are becoming boring commuter boxes on wheels, but there is a romance about long distance rail travel and especially sleeper services that only ships of the sea come close to.

Can anyone explain why?
