I bought myself a cheap Android tablet to have the fun of playing with the WiFi (although that cheap tablet has cacked itself already) & that can be a reasonably affordable way to enjoy this experience (but a home WiFi modem is still needed for the tablet to download the apps. through the internet).

Yes, that's a good way to do it. You can get Android tablets quite cheaply (but not Apples!).

Some of the newer Nokias are using Android now. I fear the days of Nokia though, are already numbered. Maybe they can merge with Blackberry as an epitome of what once was!
