I'm assuming Olympus are trying to break into the Scottish market given the change of Lake mode to Loch mode.

You could well have a later prototype MK III than I have. I suspect Tethered Landscape mode is under Everything Else mode on the one I have.

Re: Sneak peek at the Mk III

You do not seem to have mentioned the new button on the front of the camera, there are now three where there only used to be two. I am led to believe this is for front button focusing especially provided for those who find back button focusing difficult.

Ps if there is lake and loch can we also have a Lough mode?

Actually I forgot all about the new button, I'm having a hard enough time dealing with all the modes available. I missed a shot of a Great Auk on a local bay because I couldn't find a Flightless Bird or a Bird on a Bay mode.

I'll pass on the Lough request.

The Barefoot/Bareback Mode can also be changed to Barebum for the professional pornography industry.

Re: Sneak peek at the Mk III

Why no "selfie" mode... Face detection will surely allow the user to automagically enhance the puckered lips/pout that is absolutely essential in a selfie

Because Olympus are aiming at the pro sector, not the social media Butterflies.

Barefoot mode has already been replaced by

Beer mode
BA mode (bugger all known about this one)
BIF mode (purely a mode to provide an excuse for missing the shot)

At some point over the next few weekends we're going to try a corner store out on the back roads where they make a selection of home made ice cream.

https://seasonalontariofood.blogspot...e-for-ice.html

I was there in 1985 and their Rum Raisin was spectacular. I'm guessing it's new owners now as that blog post says they've had the store 13 years.

Re: Sneak peek at the Mk III

STOP PRESS due to complaints regarding political influence from Ryanair, Easyjet, Flybe The red Arrows etc etc the BA button has been renamed the Stena button. The normal three week window has been opened for complaints before it is finalised.
