Re: E-30

That will work well and likely replace the E-3.

Interesting post. The E-30 did fix some of the problems the E-3 exhibited and it was a bit smaller and lighter, if not as robustly built of course.

I have one example of every Four Thirds Olympus camera model since the E-3 and a Panasonic L-10.

I beg your pardon, I'm missing my E-3 as Barry Lategan (if you don't know who he is - Google him ) broke his so I 'lent' him mine. So I have all the E-System bodies except for the E-5 (and, come to think of it, the E-600 though I do have an E-620).

Re: E-30

I just have the E-520 which was the first DSLR I got and then an E-30 as well which I only got a couple of years ago.

Do you all have a wide range of lenses and accessories as well?

My own lens and accessory collection consist of the following:

Oly Zuiko Kit Lenses:
14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 (is pretty much always attached to my E-520)
40-150mm f/4.0-5.6

Oly Zuiko Pro Lenses:
8mm Fisheye f/3.5
12‑60mm f/2.8‑4.0 SWD (I mainly use this)
14‑54mm f/2.8‑3.5 II
50mm Macro f/2.0
50‑200mm f/2.8‑3.5 SWD

Oly Zuiko Top Pro Lens:
14‑35mm f/2.0 SWD (I got this at a bargin price or I could never have been able to afford it)

Oly Accessories & Converters:
AC-1 Powersupply for the E-30
HLD-4 Battery Grip for the E-30
FL36 Flash
Zuiko Teleconverter EC-14
Zuiko Teleconverter EC-20
Zuiko Extensiontube EX-25 (is it me or is that tricky to use?)

Sigma Lenses:
55-200mm f/4.0-5.6 DC (it came with my E-520 when I got that second hand)
50-500mm f/4.0-6.3 APO DG HSM (Bigma) (It came along when I got the EC-14, sadly the previous owner has lost the petal lenshood and the front cover so I am on the hunt for those but the petal lenshood is proving difficult to find.)

If any of you have both the 12-60mm SWD and the 14-35mm SWD which do you prefer of the two? I find my self prefering the 12-60mmSWD over the 14-35mm SWD because I feel the 12-60mm SWD is faster in focusing even though they should be equal. Any thoughts on this matter?

Re: E-30

I have pretty much all the Olympus Zuiko Digital lenses, from the 300 2.8 down to the 14-42 plastic fantastic kit lens. I even have an 17.5-45

Re: E-30

Like others I still have a lot of my E-Series collection including the E-30

Mind you I was amazed how small the viewfinder looks compared to the EM1-II

In terms of robustness.. mine has been thoroughly mistreated and still works fine
