Help colour problem

I am a newby to this site and I am encountering a problem with certain colours,
especially purple which is coming out blue. I'm currently using an e-30 but I have
noticed my purple problem occurs on my e-510 and e-420. I can correct
the colours through photoshop but wondered if anyone has any solutions to my
purple problem. regards iggoo

Re: Help colour problem

What white balance setting are you using and what is the light source?

Re: Help colour problem

White balance is set to auto on all 3 cameras and it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm taking photos, inside, outside or with or without the flash - the purple always comes out blue

Re: Help colour problem

It's a known problem. Nothing much you can do about it except some post processing.

Re: Help colour problem

I've not done any testing but if the problems related to the one face by film users shooting flowers.for publication it can be controlled to a degree by suitable lighting. The film problem was caused by the films response to ultra violet light.
