Kookaburra in Flight (KIF)

Captured early this morning after waiting for Kookie to show; He didn't disappoint.
Yesterday a thunderstorm broke over Wang’ that replenished the creek. I guessed he'd be there waiting for Freddo,
but Freddo was tipped off and never showed up, so we gave it away. Kookie rewarded my patience with a couple of cool KIF shots.

He looks pretty smug in the first photo. That frog was obviously good to eat.

Nice set Mark, you are hitting the spot......

I'm willing to bet... not as smug on the look on Mark's face.

Cracking shots all of them.

Re: Kookaburra in Flight (KIF)

Thanks Mark, Phill, Wally, OM. Yes, you could say I was a tad smug when I downloaded the images.
I was only out for about 45 mins as I had a 9:00am appt. Sometimes I'm out for over 2hrs and come home with nothing.
I've just got around to processing this image that was shot at about 30 metres from the opposite side, a few mins prior to those above.
