Re: Instagram

Last thing I tried was Gramblr, but be aware that it has the side effect of stopping your computer from sleeping. The problem is that it installs a background service that adds a sleep inhibit to Windows' power management system. If that bothers you, you'll need to set the service to manual start and then start/stop it as you need to use it.

If you have Windoze 10, a simpler option is to force your browser into "Mobile" mode (since Windoze 10 is now tablet and desktop). You'll need to go into the "developer" option and tweak it. Described here (plus some other ideas):

Re: Instagram

Yeah I've read about Gamblr - sounds like gambling by handing over your log-in details. That was one thing off putting, sleep prohibit adds another disincentive.

Dropbox used by some, but many steps making it a bit of a chore.

Need a geek to write some code instead of producing malware.

Re: Instagram

Lots of talented photographers on Instagram, no words just pictures. Worth joining if just to browse.

Re: Instagram

Windows 7 is great, but Windows 8 is probably the worst version of Windows this side of Windows Vista. You should upgrade to 10.

Just trying it myself now.

Works well - just uploaded a few (and added my Instagram URL my signature).

Well done, and I see you have a presence on Instagram. I don't know if you are aware that you can post native format, 4x3 3x2 etc rather than the enforced default square.

I note there's a $10 registration fee.

What I do not want to do is in any way compromise LR, having the old non-CC version. Any danger in your view?

Re: Instagram

Another approach that seems to work form my iPad. From Flickr save selected photo to the 'pictures' folder (on iPad), and then having fired up the Instagram App share photos from there, adding text and the all important #tags.
