Godox System Analysis

Quite a few post below on Godox asking question so here goes .

I had always regarded Godox as an expensive professional system but bumped into the X1 TX N and X1 RX N when looking for a replacement for the less than satisfactory Yongnuo 622n setup. See my analysis on Nikon rumors if interested.
Relating to the Olympus you can buy a very satisfactory and well built TT350 and use it on your Oly shoe .
If you want to go to two flashes ( or up to 15 ! ) then remember the TT series contains a 2.4 Ghz transmitter/receiver so with the TT on your camera you can control other TT flashguns. if you want to run more than one gun away from the camera you will need the X1 TX (0) unit if you don't have a TT in the shoe.
You will note the the X1 TX for oly does not have pins on the top shoe as it controls the flash on top via radio so you could hand hold a flash above the camera without cables . This means you can only use Godox TT flash with the X1 TX(This not not true for the Nikon version where you need a receiver for each additional flash and can fit it with any brand of iTTL gun).
I find it all works great ..you can see the pre flashes on the remote flash and the exposure in iTTL is spot on. Go manual if you must.
So if you don't have any flash guns then a single TT unit gets you started and another will get you a remote flash.no X1 required

As with all these things the makers don't make it easy.....
Beware flash guns that are quoted as suitable for Nikon Canon Olympus etc as these are not iTTL guns
ie the TT520 is a slave with a 433Mhz trigger ..basically its manual as is the TT560.
The TT600 is 2.4 Ghz can be triggered in iTTL by an X1 TX (0) but is not usable in the shoe except in manual.
The TT 685 or V860 II are 2.4GHz can be used in the shoe or as remotes as they contain the necessary receivers.
If a gun has a letter after it dedicating it to a particular brand ie N,C,S, O then its usable in the shoe and is iTTL
