Remarkable - especially as, according to the EXIF, you took them without a lens attached! Was that the 90-250?

Re: Now is the time of year.....

Lovely shots Nick, when I look at the exif it states a 400mm lens is it the EC-20 and 50-200 or a Sigma?

Re: Now is the time of year.....

Thanks All, hopefully I'll manage to get some more. Warm early spring days are great for spotting them.

Taken with the E-3 and the 50-200, the first 3 with the ec2.0 and the last with the 1.4.

Not sure why David couldn't see the focal length on the exif.

Nice captures, Nick! I'm impressed with the results you get using the converters. I have the same two, but I'm not too happy with them, especially the EC20.

How do you see the EXIF? Do you have a plug-in for the browser?

For exif I have kuso exif, not sure where I got it from. But you can also see exif from the gallery - just click through and there is a little camera symbol at the end of the icons under the picture.

The ec2.0 needs quite lot of light, although I used it on the 50-200 for these it is really better suited to the 90-250. I don't think there is intrinsically a problem with the ec2.0, it is just that the conditions have to be right. I find the 1.4 almost vice free, certainly it is far less dependant on having good light.

Thanks Ed and John

A lovely sequence, it amazes me how these little things survive all the floods and freezing weather.
