Fly in the Sky

It was a fun thing to do, but I almost fell over backwards tracking this pesky above my head !

Congratulations in getting it right, challenging. A most difficult shot.

Re: Fly in the Sky

Thanks Phil, but I think the congratulations belong to the camera / lens combo and fast focusing. All I did was to keep tripping the shutter.

Re: Fly in the Sky

Interesting. I didn’t think you could focus that close at a long focal length. Artistic score: I’m not sure. From a practical perspective, a good textbook image of the subject?

Yes indeed you can, I've just been into my garden to see how close I could focus on a flower; under a metre at 210mm.
On the artistic score, well I was just 'doodling' so to speak, as at the time all the damned birds appeared to be grounded. The Hoverfly was the only thing airborne!
