Nevertheless, I don't agree with leaving the EU. All I'm saying parliament had the option and parliament agreed to hold the referendum, and they did so with an overwhelming majority - just noting the fact.

A second referendum would be welcome, in principle, but there could be ramifications beyond remaining.

Maybe, just maybe, if Dr Who has an episode to spare, perhaps she could stuff the parliamentarians of the day in her Tardis and take them back to 2015, working her sonic screwdriver to sort it out.

But they are the party that have mismanaged the process.

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Type 'Brexit sheep farming' into your web browser search box and you'll get several pages of 'Project Fear' that describes the negative impact of a no-deal Brexit on sheep farming.

Amongst the pages are those about the major concerns voiced by Welsh farmers. Yes - that's the same Wales that voted to leave! The word for irony in the Welsh language is 'eironi' !

Don't they know that they've won and need to get over it?

I was only using the yoof's terminology not referring to their political insight. Whatever your politics or views on Brexit the current situation can very reasonably be called a clusterfu[k. I doubt we would disagree on that!

Possibly, but only if you possess a very limited vocabulary.

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

The last 20 minutes of PM on Radio 4 on Fri evening was an excellent summary of how TM has got us into this mess. Whatever you might think of her resilience and sheer bloody mindedness she has to take the brunt of the responsibility for the current disaster that's unfolding.

You can find it on Listen Again with iPlayer.

Well said.

Amber Rudd denies wanting the job as PM, but I think she is lining herself up in the event of TM resigning or if the government falls. The latest is half the cabinet are against a hard Brexit and haven’t ruled out a second referendum. Amber Rudd is asking for cross-party talks. Another humiliation for the conservatives when one of their own is going cap in hand to the Labour Party and the DUP to bale them out.

I commend you for not rising to the small minded baiting from Jax and his minions.

Hey @Gate_Keeper, no need to get personal calling someone 'small minded'. Not nice!

Interesting Guardian article discussing the Labour opinions on whether another referendum should be called. I have to say, I agree with Caroline Flint's view.

I'm starting a campaign (no yellow jackets, yet) #SayNoToReferencedLinksInPosts

When we get into power, precis will be the norm, especially if the source is from the Guardian Newspaper.
