E_PL1 shutter lag

I'm grateful for all the advice I've had so far but today I've read several conflicting reviews about the shutter lag on the e-pl1.

I wanted this as a lighter kit to take pictures of my grand-daughter (who at 1has a habit of moving around erratically!) so could I have any real user advice as to whether would I be wasting my money and should perhaps just stick my E-600?

Thanks in advance

Re: E_PL1 shutter lag

I have taken tons of great (imho) photos of my 8 month old nephew, who also moves around at quick speeds and my e-pl1 has always managed to keep up with him, using the 14-42 kit lens and others via the mmf-1 adaptor.

Re: E_PL1 shutter lag

Don't know if the E-P2 is the same, but mine has not so much shutter lag as a distinct long blackout after taking a shot before viewfinder clears again. May be because I only shoot raw. G2 is much better for action-type shots, but despite this I really enjo the Pen.
