I'm a naughty boy

After all the talk on the site over the last few months about photographers rights guess what,I was stopped by two police officers this morning for taking a picture of this building(which I rather like, reminds me of Mondrian).

To be fair to them they were perfectly courteous and explained they had stopped me as I was near London city airport.
They asked for identity which I was able to provide and took my address.

All quite painless really.

Luckily they did not look in my bag and find the rocket launcher.

Hi Andy

Did the Police just happen to be there, or do you think someone reported you and they then headed your way...?

I always wonder how the Police manage to be at these what look to be remote(ish) locations, or rather, locations where you'd least expect a Police Officer to appear. Shopping precincts, town centers, yes... but here... I dunno?

Beware
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
They've got a little list - they've got a little list
Of amateur photographers who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed - who never would be missed!

(apologies to G&S)

Interesting building - the pattern really hides the scale until you see the doors in the side.

Wasn't 'Pocket Rocket' once an euphemism?

Not sure what it is ,probably only a warehouse.

As I said before ,no change on the 7-14.

John

This on the edge of docklands and there's cameras everywhere. If you look in the front of my picture you can see one
Also it is very close to City airport and I believe they patrol all the time.
The other year I was stopped at a road block by a policeman with a machine gun outside the airport but this was after the attempted bomb at Glasgow.

Hope you're on the mend after your "op"
