Anyone lost an E-M10 MkII in Northumberland?

An Olympus E-M10 MkII and lens has been found in Hexham Northumberland and, after a fruitless local search via social media, is being sent to Olympus in the hope that the owner will eventually be found.
But if you know of anyone who has lost theirs, let me know a few details of where it had been used/serial number, attached lens, or where it was left, and I will then forward the owners details to my contact at Olympus.
Cheers, Chris

A good reason for registering your gear on the myOlympus site.

Re: Anyone lost an E-M10 MkII in Northumberland?

I applaud the efforts

in the old days you would have taken it to the local bobby who would have kept it for 3 months and then if no one came forwards it was yours.... I did that once with a gold necklace and it came back and I gave it to my sister (I was about 12 at the time no other half of my own)

The police do still take in high value items .. re THIS

regards
Andy

Re: Anyone lost an E-M10 MkII in Northumberland?

I have a write protected image on all my SD Cards with my contact details in the hope that if I lost a camera I'd get at least the card back if not the camera.
I hope it'x reunited with it's owner!

Did you keep any of the images off the memory card?
If so, try entering them in StolenCameraFinder

Re: Anyone lost an E-M10 MkII in Northumberland?

Some great suggestions but as camera wasn’t in my possession I only acted as a conduit to get the camera to Olympus UK ... I think the finder put some of the verfew photos on its card online in his initial search, but I have no details. Hopefully Olympus will check the card for any clues, they are going to give it a service prior to any return to owner if found, and they have been in touch with the finder to thank them for their help.
Cheers for the suggestions
