Who altered my advert then?

Needs looking into Admin.

It certainly wasn't me.

Someone added SOLD as a prefix to my ad for a Oly 60mm Macro.

I withdrew the lens from sale, but certainly did NOT add SOLD.

Naughty, naughty.

Re: Who altered my advert then?

That's odd - I don't know how this happened.

There is no 'withdrawn'option - maybe I should add one?

Re: Who altered my advert then?

Most likely I changed it, as “withdrawn” means it’s no longer available.

People are very unlikely to look at “Sold” listings, so just keeps the place tidy...

If you want it back as “for sale”, just let me know.

I think you must all agree that is NOT TOO CLEVER.

It's only sold when I say so.

Re: Who altered my advert then?

Apologies from me as well

I think I did it when I read the last 2 comments "Its gone now" and then "Must have been OK then. At that price I'm not surprised it's gone". I interpreted that as sold and did not spot the edit in the original posting

As previously mentioned this is just to try and help people not having to read through lots of things that are no longer for sale and no offence was intended.

We could add "withdrawn", but it would still depend on people like me not making honest mistakes

Once again apologies

Regards
Andy

Apology accepted, thank you, please remove "SOLD' from the advert.

Re: Who altered my advert then?

I have made the change .. Withdrawn is now an option

Whilst I was there I took the opportunity to add another option in the hope that helps people as well

Sometimes a FOUND thread is the opposite of Wanted in other words I have found what I want and there is no need to offer more, sometimes people use it to say "I have seen something that could be of interest" which is certainly not the same and is a thread people may find more of interest and then could indeed result in Sold or Withdrawn

So I added Interested?

if that's not useful it can easily be withdrawn

Regards
Andy

Re: Who altered my advert then?

Well done Andy! You beat me to it. I actually created the new option but then the system told me it had already been done

I did correct some spelling in the 'Interested' option

Re: Who altered my advert then?

For info only.

Should I want to resurrect the ad at a later date, how can the green 'Withdrawn' prefix be changed to a red 'For Sale' one.

Just contact a moderator, Dave, there is a tool we have available to do this. If it is a very old thread, such as the one to which this enquiry relates, it might be better to start a new thread to avoid potential confusion, but the choice is yours.
