I seem to remember that the later Pentax 645 recorded basic exposure information in the film rebate on 120.

I didn't know about that John. There was also the Data Back for the OM system (and others), but that was limited to a date or number sequence.

I was always impressed by those who were able to quote exposure details for their film images; presumably writing them down in a notebook, (or guessing), but I was never that organised.
