That's a strong, geometric image Alf. I like it. From the thread title I was expecting it to be something to do with Scottish Widows. Maybe that sultry lady in a black, hooded cape.

A well spotted opportunity, beautifully photographed. I do like this type of subject, especially when it is done as well as this.

Well this is a far as I was going with the colour version in terms of comments I recieved elsewhere to increase the contrast/vibrancy

I like the B&W version, it works well too, but the colour version with increased contrast and vibrancy completely alters the mood - and not in a good way. It looks over processed. I still prefer the original.

B&W is no where near as depressing as the colour version which is what I assume you were aiming for (and achieving).
