Focus bracketing

I've been playing with focus bracketing on my Pen-F this morning. After a few tense moments with CARD ERRORs when the card was only half full and worked perfectly in the computer, and the camera shutting down altogether, (thankfully only briefly) I've got it working. The manual is not much help on how to set up the mode and it's been entirely trial and (mostly!) error so far. Affinity Photo has done a good job merging the files though.

Anyway, I notice there's now an ALBM folder on the SD card in addition to the usual DCIM, and there's a .BIN file in it. I assume this is to do with the bracketing but does anyone know what it is?

Any hints and tips on how to use the mode would be appreciated. I have a 30mm macro lens arriving in a day or two and want to play . Thanks!

Re: Focus bracketing

That's quite a helpful article, thanks. I am still getting used to the Pen-F as well which is just sufficiently different to my E-M5 to be frustrating!
