Looking for inspiration?

Well this might be the required shot in the arm:

Take your time to immerse yourself and enjoy. All taken using instant film (scanned for the net, obviously).

Not my thing I'm afraid It's a bit too surreal.

Re: Looking for inspiration?

I’ve spent a lot of money on expensive German lenses (Olympus are relatively inexpensive by comparison) pursuing technical perfection, only to realise I’m not searching for perfection after all. The literal ‘what the camera saw’ image for me is extremely boring, especially if the image is sharp and heavily over processed, combining all the school-boy errors caused by misuse of Lightroom and Photoshop.
Give me a camera with a cheap plastic lens, or a lens made in Russia by someone who’s hit the Vodka harder than they should. Images created by imperfection are closer to the imperfection of life. Dreams are made from these ingredients, and your pictures will definitely have more soul and it will show. Compare with a super sharp picture of the Humber Bridge, for example. Anyone looking at the result, your picture, is likely to say, ‘ah yes, the Humber Bridge, I’ve driven over that I know exactly what it looks like’; you have
no imagination in your photography, but if you do you keep it well hidden’.

Re: Looking for inspiration?

I see thousands of images each year and very much welcome "different"!

Over sharpening is my current dislike, along with images that have the vibrancy set to high.

Certainly interesting pictures, or at least most of them...
