Re: Printing very large!

Just looked interpolative upsizing up Paul. Hopefully they will know what they are doing and apply it as I didn't. The article I read was really informative I definitely learnt a lot thanks for the prompt. For anyone else interested this is what I read. https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tu...erpolation.htm
It also explains image rotation degradation too which is something I hadn't realised happened before. Oddly enough although I rarely do it other than 90 degrees I did rotate the last butterfly I posted in Beagletorque's thread by about 45 degrees so may be it did lose a bit of sharpness doing that? Anyway just had a thought what about straightening horizons, that also presumably comes with a loss of resolution too?

Well? How did it turn out? Any photo of you next to it?

Re: Printing very large!

Must have missed this thread the first time round. Thanks for that Link Phill, very informative. I knew what interpolation is, but the explanation of the different types is very helpful.

Re: Printing very large!

No probs Richard you are welcome.
As for how it turned out Henry well it was very good actually although I've not been able to see it installed in person myself. Everyone who's seen it has been impressed so it looks like the printers did a good job even though they printed it too big! and had to crop it a bit. Charlotte did take a few shots of it on her phone so I'll see what they look like and maybe post one.

Re: Printing very large!

Hope these look ok as they are shrunk down phone pics but they should give an impression. The wall was 3m x 2m. The second is only 20cm from the surface, a lot closer than anyone would be in reality.

Re: Printing very large!

You've got to get some of those recent landscapes on the wall Henry. They are far too good to just sit in a folder. Sounds like you need to invest in a few bunches of flowers

Sounds like a good idea. Should I print them first then follow by the flowers? Present at the same time.
