This was easy with Nikon systems, which highlighted any non-default settings with an asterisk. As far as I can see, the E-M1II doesn't show which settings are still default or have been altered by me. And, as there are many many menus and settings, noting them all down is a major undertaking. Do you know a way of easily working out which settings have been changed?


But, what you are describing sounds like what I did originally. I used Aperture Mode for several months before saving two slightly different versions in C1 and C2 (the main difference being back-button focus on C2).

I have run out of ideas then. I suggest you should in any case be writing down all your settings. Reset the camera and then re-enter the settings. I am convinced this is down to your settings.

Thanks for your help, everyone. I will try to remember which settings I’ve changed. The spreadsheet might help with that. I’ve still got another 10,000 shots before I need to change the prefix again! :-D
