Egyptian artifact on display

For those with an interest in archaeology?

In Scotland for a short time only. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-46804806

Earlier this month, it was announced that the only casing stone from the Great Pyramid of Giza to be displayed anywhere outside Egypt will be on show at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh from 8 February.
The large block of fine white limestone will be on public view for the first time since it arrived in Scotland in 1872.

The real fun comes in finding the original paperwork, which at 147 years old should be a dawdle.

Re: Egyptian artifact on display

Perhaps the paperwork should be part of the exhibit and then visitors could make their own mind up about the authenticity.

Re: Egyptian artifact on display

If the paperwork does exist, I would imagine that given the fairly recent lootings etc., and other recent upheaval problems that took place in Egypt, it is surprising that they even knew we had that particular relic of the past.

As for the actual paperwork if it does exist, at that age, it is quite possiblly even more delicate than the actual exhibit?

I do see your point and a photo of the paper(s) as you suggested would indeed validate the arguement of right or wrong.

If, he gets caught, his nane will change to either Ben Doon or Phil MacAvity... and not necessarily by deed poll.
